As the leading e-Science partner in the Asia-Pacific region, ASGC collaborates with related projects in Europe and America at different levels, including policy-making, infrastructure operation, user and software application support, staff training and dissemination. We started by validating the numerical codes with analytical and laboratory benchmarks proposed at the Catalina Long Wave Congress. This work is integrated in the Portuguese e orts to study tsunami hazard and risk on the Algarve coast and to develop emergency plans by the Portuguese Civil Protection. The ASGC team is committed to offering training and support to numerous user groups within the scientific community with regard to the European Grid Infrastructure EGI and other types of distributed computing technologies. The response was measured by the run-up and run-in parameters.

Flexible nested grid setup allows for the balance between accuracy and efficiency. Items in Repository are protected by copyright, with all rights reserved, unless otherwise indicated. We have constructed 81 fault models to create the initial conditions for the tsunami codes based tsunxmi the variation of fault parameters: We started by validating the numerical twunami with analytical and laboratory benchmarks proposed at the Catalina Long Wave Congress.
Its purpose was to properly con gure the numerical models to the Algarve coast by comparing the modelled results with the historical data.
Lab Session: COMCOT and COULWAVE
We have found a good agreement with the historical data, even though the run-in was underestimated. This work is integrated in the Portuguese e orts to study tsunami hazard and risk on the Algarve coast and to develop emergency plans by the Portuguese Civil Protection.
SinceASGC has been acting as a Resource Operation Centre for the whole Cmocot region, providing support for the deployment and operation of the global grid infrastructure, regional monitoring, troubleshooting, and user and host certification.
A systematic comparison of the inundation response of the numerical models was performed at Alvor Bay.
Lab Session: COMCOT and COULWAVE | Pan-American Advanced Studies Institute
O the models available to this study, we have selected for comparison: The model has been used to investigate several historical tsunami events, such as the Chilean tsunami, the Flores Islands Indonesia tsunami Liu et al.
In accordance with its objective "e-Science for the masses", ASGC actively promotes a wide range of e-Science applications services in Asia.

The maximum inundation on the cases teste have been obtained with proximate source models while COMCOT has revealed a large span of source models able to produce maximum inundation.
Academia Sinica Grid Computing www. Nevertheless, the results obtained with AnuGA have been more consistent.
Waves can be generated via incident wave maker, fault model, landslide, or even customized profile. Show full item record Give your opinion. iCOMCOT - About
The di erences found in the run-up and run-in parameters seem to be related to tsunaki inundation methods. The response was measured by the run-up and run-in parameters.
A rst test case was performed at Boca do Rio valley where historical and sedimentological data from tsunzmi Lisbon tsunami was available. As part of this broader purpose, the objective of this study is to compare the inundation response of tsunami numerical models.
